things have cooled down a bit here, at least at my hospital. so i didn't
have to work today (9/12), but, with only my hospital identification card,
managed to pass by 6 or 7 police and national guard barricades and got down
to the rescue scene at the world trade center. i worked quickly and managed
to get the following on film within an hour of shooting, before an official
kicked me out. these were from the first batch, excuse the poor neg scans
from my $100 scanner (all the highlights just seem to escape my scanner's
eye):

i'll add more as i get to scan. surprisingly no press photographers were
allowed today within at least a two block radius.
